Marvel Fans Are Convinced Thor Is Madly In Love With Star-Lord Thanks To 'Love And Thunder' Trailer

Fans are reveling over the possibility Marvel's Thor may be crushing on Guardians of the Galaxy hero Star-Lord—aka Peter Quill—based on what they saw in the new trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder.

In the Marvel comics, Star-Lord has already come out as bisexual.

Marvel Studios dropped the trailer for the movie directed by Taika Waititi–who directed 2017's Thor: Ragnarok–on Monday.

The preview featured a scene where Thor–played by Chris Hemsworth—gave Star Lord–played by Chris Pratt—a gaze long enough to exceed the acceptable time limit beyond a casual glance.

As Guns N' Roses' "Sweet Child O' Mind" underscored the preview, Star-Lord asked Thor, "You ever feel lost?" and added, "Just look into the eyes of the people that you love" as he looked at his Guardians of the Galaxy crew.

The song abruptly cut off as Thor gradually leaned into Star-Lord's sightline of the crew to meet his eyes.

Star-Lord asserted to Thor, it wasn't him to whom he was referring.

To which Thor quickly brushed off his lingering look and replied, "What? Just listening."

People praised the director for his vision and for subty confirming their suspicion that Thor is not strictly heterosexual.

Meanwhile some fans advised Pratt—who met with backlash for his affiliation with a scandal-ridden and aggressively anti-LGBTQ+ Evangelical Christian organization, Hillsong Church—to stay offline to avoid reading about the speculation involving his character.

In 2019, Pratt defended the church despite its allegations of homophobia and defended Hillsong by stating it was "a church that opens their doors to absolutely everyone."

And while Pratt played the character in the first two Guardians of the Galaxy films in 2014 and in 2017, fans wondered if he would reprise the role after a 2020 issue of the Guardians of the Galaxy comic indicated Star-Lord–whose real name is Peter Quill–was bisexual.

With no further details on his character development in the upcoming third Guardians sequel, however, Pratt and the rest of his castmates are currently in production in Atlanta for the Infinity Saga's end after a significant delay due to the pandemic and the firing and rehiring of director James Gunn.

Trump Made A Petty Dig At Taylor Swift During The Eagles' White House Visit—Because Of Course

President Donald Trump was called out after he made a petty dig at pop star Taylor Swift during his speech for the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles' visit to the White House.

In a brief speech, Trump acknowledged the Eagles' 40–22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs was “a little surprising,” a remark that appeared to reference the Chiefs' consecutive Super Bowl victories in 2023 and 2024. He then shifted focus to Swift, getting in a petty swipe drawing attention to Swift's presence at the game to watch her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, play tight end for the losing team.
