Vance Roasted After His Brother Gets Walloped In Ohio Primary Following Vance's Endorsement
Tuesday's primary saw three people on the ballot:
- incumbent Democrat Aftab Pureval
- Republican Brian Frank
- Republican Cory Bowman
But only one candidate had an endorsement coming straight from the Trump administration.
Evangelical pastor and coffee shop owner Cory Bowman received the support of Vice President JD Vance midday on Tuesday. Bowman shares a father, Donald Bowman, with James Donald Bowman, a.k.a. James David Hamel, a.k.a. J.D. Hamel, a.k.a. J.D. Vance.
Vance posted on X:
"Hey Cincinnati! My brother Cory Bowman is running for mayor and is on the ballot today for the primary. He’s a good guy with a heart for serving his community. Get out there and vote for him!"
But Vance's endorsement failed to bear fruit—or votes.
Incumbent Democratic Mayor Pureval garnered 82.53% of the vote, compared to Bowman's 12.91% and Frank's 4.6%. Vance can now see what a real landslide victory looks like, having no personal experience with one himself.
MAGA Republican President Donald Trump and Vance won just 48% of the vote versus 42% for former Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
People were no more supportive of either Bowman brother on social media.
Not a good look, JD.
The two winners of the May 6 mayoral primary election will face off in the general election on November 4.
Ellen DeGeneres Just Tried To Mow The Lawn At Her Sprawling UK Estate—And It Went South Fast
Instead of traveling a lot, the former talk show host has developed a hobby of flipping houses, which gives her different projects to work on, followed by a fresh location and "new perspective" to live in for a while.
She's already flipped more than 50 properties, and the latest is a beautiful property in the Cotswolds region of the British countryside, and the yard is made up of rough terrain—wide, rolling hills and vegetation that will challenge even a high-quality lawnmower.
But DeGeneres decided to give it her best try on a lark. And, thinking this new adventure might lead to some comedic moments, de Rossi decided to press that record button—and the results did not disappoint.
DeGeneres starts off mowing slowly on a large yellow riding lawnmower, sporting her new look of dark brunette hair.
But then the video cuts to a scene of DeGeneres and the lawnmower creeping back up one of the property's steep hills as a man attempts to push them back up. The incline proving too steep, the video cuts again, this time to both DeGeneres and the man pushing the lawnmower and de Rossi giggling in the background.

It's unclear how much of DeGeneres and de Rossi's decision to move to the U.K. was based on the presidential election or what they will do when future candidates are sworn in, but it's clear for the time being that the pair are enjoying the fresh air, change in lifestyle, and of course, trying new things.
