Indigenous TikToker Calls Out 'Toxic Masculinity' After Conservative Guy Challenges Him To A Fight

Indigenous TikToker Calls Out 'Toxic Masculinity' After Conservative Guy Challenges Him To A Fight

A Republican vs. Democrat "boxing match" sounds like the plot of a Black Mirror episode, but sadly, it is reality that a TikToker was intending to follow through with the idea.

TikToker @saiyantransformation, the Republican in question, sent a challenge to an indigenous TikToker, Lance Tsosie (@modern_warrior__,) to fight him.

But Tsosie declined with a very calm explanation about why he would not engage in violence with the Republican.

"Hey colonizer," Tsosie starts.

"I knew it would only be a matter of time until you resorted to violence. As I've proven time and time again that your arguments against the native community have no validity. You see, another main difference between you and I is this: My masculinity is not toxic."

Tsosie then goes on to explain the difference between toxic masculinity and non-toxic masculinity.

He breaks down toxic masculinity into three components: 1. "the suppression of emotions and masking of distress," 2. "maintaining an appearance of hardness," and 3. "viewing violence as an indicator of power."

"It basically comes down to how we were all brought up: that boys should not express their emotions, that they have to be tough all the time, and that anything other than that makes them 'feminine' or weak."

Tsosie continues on to say that he worked hard to dismantle these ideas of "what it means to be a man."

"Because at the end of the day, we are the ones who decide what manhood is and who have to find a way to live into it."

Ellen DeGeneres Just Tried To Mow The Lawn At Her Sprawling UK Estate—And It Went South Fast

Say what you may about Ellen DeGeneres, but we can all agree that she's always tried to find the funny side in a situation, even if it's something that should be as mundane as mowing the lawn.

DeGeneres left the talk show scene in 2022 after allegations ran rampant about her running a toxic workplace, so when President Donald Trump was elected for a second term, it seemed the perfect time for the entertainer and her wife, Portia de Rossi, to look for greener pastures, namely in the U.K.
