The news that Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, has married Riley Hawk, the son of Tony Hawk, has sent Gen X and older Millennials into a tailspin.

Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, and Riley Hawk, skateboard champion Tony Hawk's son, officially tied the knot.

A spokesperson for Tony Hawk confirmed his son's nuptials with the rocker's daughter which took place in San Diego County in California a month after the couple obtained their marriage license a month prior, according to documents obtained by TMZ.

According to the marriage certificate, they got married on October 7.

Their officiant was Francis Cobain's godfather, Michael Stipe, who was the lead singer for the 90s alt-rock band R.E.M.

Stipe played a significant role in helping to inspire her father as a mentor navigating the music scene during the nascent phase of Nirvana's meteoric rise to Indie rock fame.

The melding of iconic 90s celebrities on the heartwarming occasion resonated with the generations that grew up with them.

"2021 brought me more into the present moment than I've ever been, which I'm deeply grateful for."
