Army veteran Shane Spicer was in line at a Starbucks drive-thru in Ocala, Florida, when a man tried to carjack a pregnant woman ahead of him—and he jumped into action.

A Florida Army vet is being hailed a hero online after he stopped a would-be carjacker at a Starbucks drive-thru.

Shane Spicer was in the drive-thru line at his local Starbucks when he noticed a man run to another vehicle in line and pull a pregnant woman from the driver's seat in an apparent attempt to steal her car.

Spicer sprang into action, chasing the man down and detaining him until police arrived shortly after.

He told Fox 35 Orlando:

“Just getting started with the day, had maybe been awake 20 to 25 minutes. I live about a mile from that Starbucks.”

The morning took a turn when Spicer observed the man running towards the Starbucks line.

“Sprinting up to Starbucks, and he didn’t look like a Starbucks coffee drinker."
“Then he yanked the girl out of the car. And just kind of an instinctive, kind of reactionary thing.”
