Doorbell Cam Captures South Dakota Cop Delivering DoorDash Order After The Driver Was Arrested

A woman from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was confused when a police officer unexpectedly showed up at her doorstep.

Did she have a run-in with the law? Was she about to receive bad news? Or maybe she was about to get served?

One of these was true...sort of.

TikTok user Anastasia Elsinger was served, all right. Except it wasn't for a court summons or subpoena.

She was served her food and drink from Arby's after placing the order through the online food order and delivery service, DoorDash–but without the driver.

The Dasher who was supposed to deliver the food had apparently been arrested, and the Sioux Falls police officer–identified as Sam Buhr on the Tea Storm Chasers Facebook–kindly ensured the food order reached the intended recipient.

Elsinger's Ring doorbell cam captured the friendly encounter in which the officer told the resident:

"I know I'm not who you're expecting. But your driver got arrested so I figured I'd complete the Door Dash."

Elsinger was heard laughing hysterically over the pleasant surprise and continued to do so after closing the door and the officer headed towards his patrol car.

She posted the surveillance footage on TikTok–where it received over 8 million views, 3 million likes, and 20K comments.

She captioned it with:

"So this happened today..."

TikTokers were amused and joined her in laughter.

According to the Tea Storm Chasers Facebook page, the Door Dash driver was arrested during a traffic stop for unspecified warrants.

The officer completed his side duty and subsequently managed to gain tons of admirers on the internet.

All in a day's work.
