In case you haven't noticed, President Donald Trump is kind of obsessed with putting his name on things.

Whether it's buildings, wines, steaks, ties, or stimulus checks, you can bet the President will put "TRUMP" on it in all caps and sell it for exponentially more than it's worth.

With thousands of Americans dead and millions more unemployed due to his administration's bungled response to the global pandemic that's upended daily life in the United States, Trump's campaign has reportedly ordered red Trump-branded face masks.

Yup, you read that right.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the masks will be given away to supporters or possibly awarded in return for donations.

Maybe the Trump campaign could start by giving them to the President and Vice President.

Earlier this month—after the scope of asymptomatic carriers of the virus became more widely known—the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) amended their guidelines for slowing the spread to include the wearing of face masks or other cloth coverings when out in public.

When announcing the change, the President stressed that it was just a recommendation, then said that he didn't imagine he'd wear one.

Vice President Mike Pence was met with criticism after video circulated of him going maskless while visiting health workers and patients at the Mayo Clinic, which requires the use of facial coverings.

The rise of Trump-branded merchandise for a pandemic that his lack of response exacerbated was beyond parody.

By the way, what's happening with the sorely needed personal protective equipment the President left governors to find for themselves?

NBC Apologizes After Commentators Repeatedly Misgendered Trans Winter Olympic Skier

The International Olympic Committee is still trying to figure out what their position on transgender inclusion looks like and how decisions are made regarding which events athletes compete in. In the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, Filipino boxer Hergie Bacyadan, a transgender man, had to compete in the women’s event because of their stage in their transition.

In the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics this year, per International Ski Federation regulations, Swedish moguls skier Elis Lundholm also has to compete in the women’s moguls event because he hasn't begun a masculinizing hormone replacement therapy regimen yet.
