Baseball Perfectly Bounces Off Batter's Butt In Hilarious Slow-Motion Clip—And Fans Are Obsessed

Baseball Perfectly Bounces Off Batter's Butt In Hilarious Slow-Motion Clip—And Fans Are Obsessed

Oakland A's player Sean Murphy's buns are definitely not made of steel.

A slow-mo clip of the player taking a wild pitch to the backside during Monday night's game proves Murphy is a 'more bounce to the ounce' kind of guy. And it has Twitter captivated.

Buns of Steel could never.

The clip:

Let's get into some context, shall we?

Murphy's Oakland A's played against the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday. The Rays starting pitcher was injured during the first inning forcing relief pitcher, Chris Mazza, into the game several innings (and hours) earlier than expected.

Mazza had little opportunity to warm up before entering the game; which can mean stiffer muscles, slower movement, and decreased ball control.

Mazza's first pitch—to Sean Murphy—was way off target... unless the target was Murphy, himself.

The pitch cut well into the batters box, and straight for Murphy's side. He could have moved out of the way, but instead chose to hold his ground and arch his back, letting the ball hit and bounce off of the side of his meatier rump/round region.

For you non-baseball fans out there, if the pitcher hits you, you get a free move. Murphy wasn't just taking bruise-inducing balls to the butt for fun.

At least not his fun, anyway. Twitter is having a blast.

Murphy is very aware that him being double cheeked up on a Monday evening is breaking the internet, and honestly he thinks it's hilarious. He talked about the hit-by-pitch and social media's reaction to it during a brief interview with NCS.

Murphy even congratulated the camera person for a great shot!

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz criticized President Donald Trump during an interview with MSNBC host Jen Psaki, stressing just why the people who elected Trump to run the country "like a business" were completely misguided.

Walz particularly lamented the impacts of Trump's ongoing trade war with Canada and Mexico, noting that Trump has a history of scuttling deals and "a proven track record of being an absolute failure."

Ellen DeGeneres Just Tried To Mow The Lawn At Her Sprawling UK Estate—And It Went South Fast

Say what you may about Ellen DeGeneres, but we can all agree that she's always tried to find the funny side in a situation, even if it's something that should be as mundane as mowing the lawn.

DeGeneres left the talk show scene in 2022 after allegations ran rampant about her running a toxic workplace, so when President Donald Trump was elected for a second term, it seemed the perfect time for the entertainer and her wife, Portia de Rossi, to look for greener pastures, namely in the U.K.
