The Daily Buzz/YouTube

A video in which two toddlers running towards each other on a sidewalk in New York and hugging each other has gone viral.

The affection on display warmed the hearts of social media users on Monday.

Maxwell's father, Michael Cisneros, shared the video on Facebook, saying:
"This is just so beautiful. Finnegan + Maxwell= BESTIES!!! If we could all be like this."

Maxwell and Finnegan are two-years-old and are besties from their music class.

Both tykes were excited about the spontaneous meeting after not having seen each other for several days.

They both headed straight for each other with arms open wide before embracing and squealing with glee for their chance reunion.

People were moved by their infectious joy.

The Facebook post hit 108K views by Sunday.

Cisneros told ABC News, who picked up the video and shared it on their platform, about the tykes' friendship.

They have only known each other for a year.

"When they are away from each other, they are always asking about one another. They go to music class together, Dana Banana (a weekly music event) and they love to dance — both are excellent dancers."

The boys share everything together, including food, clothes and toys.

"They are always super excited to see each other, even if they've only been apart for a day or two." Cisneros told The Huffington Post.

"They communicate with each other in ways we don't understand, but they sure do."

The adorable clip also caught the attention of U.S. Representative for New York's 14th congressional district, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who shared the love on Twitter.

The boys affection for each other served as a reminder of a capability some of us lost along the way.

And leave it to grandma to keep things real.

The duo that steals hearts.
