Morgan Wallen Admits He's 'Not Proud Of My Behavior' After Nashville Chair-Throwing Arrest
Country star Morgan Wallen spoke out on X, formerly Twitter, last week to publicly address his arrest after throwing a chair off a rooftop bar in downtown Nashville earlier this month.
Wallen, who is currently on tour, was charged with three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct on April 7 for tossing the chair off the rooftop at fellow country singer Eric Church’s six-story Chief’s Bar.
Wallen addressed the matter in the following post on April 19:
“I didn’t feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks. I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I’m not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility."

According to an arrest affidavit, the chair Wallen threw landed roughly 3 feet (1 meter) away from police officers, who spoke with witnesses and reviewed security footage. Witnesses stated they saw Wallen pick up a chair, toss it over the roof, and laugh about it.
Wallen’s attorney, Worrick Robinson, confirmed the arrest and said the singer was cooperating with authorities. Wallen was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on May 3.
Wallen is a prominent figure in modern country music. His third studio album, One Thing at a Time, released in 2023, was the most-consumed album in the U.S. last year. It spent 16 weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 chart in 2023.
