In a recent episode of Podcrushed—hosted by You star Penn Badgley—Sophia Bush revealed she doesn't "enjoy being in public" after a terrifying incident and we don't blame her at all.
The One Tree Hill star recalled she was out at a bar with friends on St. Patrick's Day when a man approached her.
"I had a beer and there was a guy at the table next to me and all my friends who walked right up to me and stuck his camera right in my face to take a picture. Almost hit me right in the face with his phone."
"He keeps going and he's getting rowdy and I can hear him swearing."
The Chicago P.D. actor explained she attempted to calm the man and politely get him to leave her alone.
She told him:
"Hi, I'm a person. I'd like to shake your hand. My name is Sophia."
"You're making me really uncomfortable, man. I've asked you to stop."
"I'm a girl in a bar. You are a man I do not know."
"I don't wanna be videoed on your phone. And my friends don't either. Can you please stop?"
Unfortunately, though, her attempt only angered the man.
He told her:
"I don't have to stop. You're in public."
To which Bush responded:
"Okay, but is there no world in which you can understand that you are making me feel like a piece of meat, like I'm not human?"
The man replied:
"I watch your show, so I pay your f**king salary. You are a piece of meat to me."
"You're just a TV prostitute."
Whoa.
Of course, from there the situation escalated.
Bush recalled:
"One of the guys on our crew like flipped out and it started to get physical between these guys."

Needless to say, the "insane" situation resulted in the John Tucker Must Die actor not wanting to be in public much anymore.
"Now I'd much rather be at home."
"I used to love to go out and be in the world, so I think that's obviously a wild example, but it's not the first time that I've experienced that."
