Elon Musk announced plans to rebrand Twitter as 'X,' and it appears as if the platform is already making the transition.

Musk tweeted an image of the company's headquarters featuring the new branding early Monday morning with the caption:

"Our headquarters tonight."

He noted the 'X' represents "the imperfections in us all that make us unique."

And he warned:

"And soon we shall bid adieu to the twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds."

The iconic bird logo has already been replaced with the new one.

But while Twitter's bird might be silenced, another bird—and all his friends—chirped freely about the rebranding, perfectly trolling Musk's decision.

In light of the news, Sesame Street tweeted a photo of the letter "X" behind a microphone with the caption:

"The letter X will be holding a press conference later today."

Needless to say, Musk's platform lost it over the rapid unscheduled disassembly of his idea.

Eventually Big Bird himself released a statement letting the Twitterverse know he will not be caged.

"Luckily I'm a bird so I can still tweet tweet!"

Sesame Street, sweepin' the clouds away since 1969.

Well, played.
