Kanye West has become a very divisive figure.

In the lead up to his new album, Jesus is King, he's been hosting what he calls "Sunday Services."

As far as most knew, the program was more for Kanye than God. The service was exclusive to the rich and famous—presented as more of an exclusive weekly concert rather than Sunday worship.

Turns out, the rapper feels it's more religious than we thought.

On a recent episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden, Corden and Kanye took a ride in an airplane and talked Kanye's recent religious awakening.

He told Corden:

"[God is] using me to show off! Last year I made $115 million and still ended up $35 million in debt. This year I looked up and I just got $68 million returned to me on my tax returns."

Kanye continues, saying that it's to show people that someone who's been put in debt by the system can have these kinds of numbers through Christ.

Um, that's not how any of this works.

In between their talks, the rapper's chorus sings his songs off his new album, including one of his first songs, "Jesus Walks".

In addition to his renewed faith, Corden and Kanye also talk about his marriage to Kim Kardashian. Somehow it's never mentioned that the GOP backed Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 is probably why his most recent tax return got him so much money back.

At the end of 2017, Donald Trump and the Republican controlled Congress, passed the tax reform bill that was said to cut taxes for everyone. Despite that, it's estimated that 80% of taxpayers would only receive 35% of the benefit and most would be adversely impacted by the reform in 2019 and beyond.

The very rich are getting the biggest breaks from this, which is the real reason why Kanye got a $68 million tax refund.

Kanye has also been a vocal supporter and friend of Donald Trump. And giving someone a multimillion-dollar tax cut is a great way to buy friends.

Back on the Carpool Karaoke video, Kanye says that people told him getting married wouldn't be cool. Corden responds, saying that everybody thought it would be cool to marry Kim Kardashian.

Kanye responds:

"Not Kris Humphries."

Which, you know what? That's actually pretty funny.

These quips are also kind of funny.

Kanye's new album that this segment was promoting, Jesus is King, was released on October 25th, 2019 to mixed reviews.

While it was praised for being more focused than last year's album, it paled in comparison to his powerhouse releases of The Life of Pablo and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Tim Walz Perfectly Explains Why Trump Running The Country 'Like A Business' Is A Bad Idea

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz criticized President Donald Trump during an interview with MSNBC host Jen Psaki, stressing just why the people who elected Trump to run the country "like a business" were completely misguided.

Walz particularly lamented the impacts of Trump's ongoing trade war with Canada and Mexico, noting that Trump has a history of scuttling deals and "a proven track record of being an absolute failure."

Ellen DeGeneres Just Tried To Mow The Lawn At Her Sprawling UK Estate—And It Went South Fast

Say what you may about Ellen DeGeneres, but we can all agree that she's always tried to find the funny side in a situation, even if it's something that should be as mundane as mowing the lawn.

DeGeneres left the talk show scene in 2022 after allegations ran rampant about her running a toxic workplace, so when President Donald Trump was elected for a second term, it seemed the perfect time for the entertainer and her wife, Portia de Rossi, to look for greener pastures, namely in the U.K.
