With a Wednesday night floor vote, President Donald Trump became the third president in history to be impeached.

The President and the White House have furiously attempted to discredit Democrats' efforts to hold Trump accountable for his corrupt dealings in Ukraine. They've called the impeachment a sham and a hoax, but Trump was singing an entirely different tune in 2008, as a newly unearthed video shows.

In an interview with Wolf Blitzer, Trump praised House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and expressed regret that she didn't impeach former President George W. Bush.

Watch below.

Trump said:

"Well, you know, when she first got in and was named speaker, I met her — and I'm very impressed by her. I think she's a very impressive person. I like her a lot. But I was surprised that she didn't do more in terms of Bush and going after Bush. It was almost — it just seemed like she was going to really look to impeach Bush and get him out of office, which personally I think would have been a wonderful thing."

Speaker Pelosi didn't seek an impeachment of Bush for his administration's shady war in Iraq, but she led the effort to impeach Trump for pressuring foreign leaders to open political investigations into his political rivals. Trump has since dubbed her "Nervous Nancy."

In the video, Trump goes on to defend Bill Clinton against his impeachment.

"I mean, look at the trouble Bill Clinton got into with something that was totally unimportant, and they tried to impeach him — which was nonsense. And yet, Bush got us into this horrible war with lies — by lying. By saying they had weapons of mass destruction. By saying all sorts of things that turned out not to be true."

Twitter users found the video more than a little revealing.

Others noticed just how much the President has changed in temperament and ideology in the 11 years since the interview.

As Trump spoke at a rally in Michigan, Pelosi presided over the final votes impeaching him for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

JD Vance Slammed After Baselessly Claiming Woman Killed By ICE In Minneapolis Was A 'Deranged Leftist'

Vice President JD Vance was criticized after he claimed without evidence that Renee Nicole Good—the woman fatally shot by an ICE agent in Minneapolis on Wednesday—was a "deranged leftist."

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin claimed Good “weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them.” But Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey pushed back against this narrative considering witnesses described seeing Good in the vehicle trying to flee officers when she was shot.
