Parton opened up on 'The Drew Barrymore Show' about her reasons for not texting anyone, preferring instead to talk on the phone or use a fax machine.

It's no secret that legend Dolly Parton wears many hats, both literally and figuratively.

She's a Rock & Roll Hall of Famer.

An honorary Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.

A philanthropist with too many generous deeds to list.

And now a Billboard chart-topper with her new album Rockstar.

She does it all. Well, almost all.

While appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show earlier this week, the country music icon revealed the one thing she doesn't do is text.

She told the host:

"I'm a low-tech girl in a high-tech world."

The "Jolene" singer explained:

"I don't want to talk to everybody that wants to talk to me."
"I don't text 'cause I don't want to have to answer."

Parton continued:

"If somebody calls me, I'll answer it if I want to talk to them or I'll call them back when I can."
"Otherwise, I've got too much to think about than to clutter my mind up with everything else."

She added:

"I'm certainly not a stupid person. I could learn it if I wanted to."
"I'd rather just have my fax machine and [they can] call in creative stuff to my crew."

Parton finished the topic by telling Barrymore:

"I just don't have time to sit with a phone in my face all day."

Parton's position on texting really resonated with fans in the comments.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz criticized President Donald Trump during an interview with MSNBC host Jen Psaki, stressing just why the people who elected Trump to run the country "like a business" were completely misguided.

Walz particularly lamented the impacts of Trump's ongoing trade war with Canada and Mexico, noting that Trump has a history of scuttling deals and "a proven track record of being an absolute failure."

Ellen DeGeneres Just Tried To Mow The Lawn At Her Sprawling UK Estate—And It Went South Fast

Say what you may about Ellen DeGeneres, but we can all agree that she's always tried to find the funny side in a situation, even if it's something that should be as mundane as mowing the lawn.

DeGeneres left the talk show scene in 2022 after allegations ran rampant about her running a toxic workplace, so when President Donald Trump was elected for a second term, it seemed the perfect time for the entertainer and her wife, Portia de Rossi, to look for greener pastures, namely in the U.K.
