Danielle Fishel, who played Savage's love interest Topanga on the show, told 'Variety' that he just disappeared from her and her costars' lives around 2019.

The cast of Boy Meets World—minus the "boy"—recently opened up to Variety about the absence of their costar and once close friend Ben Savage, i.e. Cory Matthews.

Danielle Fishel, who played Savage's love interest and eventual wife Topanga, told the magazine that without warning or reason, Savage just "ghosted" the rest of the cast around 2019.

"He just kind of disappeared from our lives."
"He ghosted us."

Fishel and Savage costarred in the series from 1993-2000 and then reprised their roles for Girl Meets World, which ran from 2014-2017.

Fishel shared she was still "so, so close" with Savage when her first son was born prematurely in 2019.

"He was checking in with me regularly."

But that didn't last long.

Will Friedle, who played Savage's brother Eric Matthews on the show said the topic is a "sore subject" for him.

“He disappeared — I wish I knew why, to this day."
“We didn’t have a fight. There’s no falling out. There was no animosity."
"He just woke up one day, and decided, 'I don’t want this person in my life anymore.'"
“I finally sent a text saying, ‘I’ve known you for 30 years, what’s going on?'”

Friedle claimed he relentlessly tried to contact Savage, calling every single day for nearly a month before his wife urged him to stop.

People on social media were likewise saddened about Savage's absence from the gang.

Savage recently announced his run for Congress in California's District 30.

Many fans noted his campaigning may have something to do with his disappearance from the group.

Regardless of the reason, though, Fishel still has hope for their friendship in the future.

"Ben and I may be estranged right now and we may have our complaints about each other, but I will always love Ben and want what's best for him."
"I don't think this is the end of our story — but time will tell."

A representative for Savage hasn't responded to request for comment.

Tim Walz Perfectly Explains Why Trump Running The Country 'Like A Business' Is A Bad Idea

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz criticized President Donald Trump during an interview with MSNBC host Jen Psaki, stressing just why the people who elected Trump to run the country "like a business" were completely misguided.

Walz particularly lamented the impacts of Trump's ongoing trade war with Canada and Mexico, noting that Trump has a history of scuttling deals and "a proven track record of being an absolute failure."

Ellen DeGeneres Just Tried To Mow The Lawn At Her Sprawling UK Estate—And It Went South Fast

Say what you may about Ellen DeGeneres, but we can all agree that she's always tried to find the funny side in a situation, even if it's something that should be as mundane as mowing the lawn.

DeGeneres left the talk show scene in 2022 after allegations ran rampant about her running a toxic workplace, so when President Donald Trump was elected for a second term, it seemed the perfect time for the entertainer and her wife, Portia de Rossi, to look for greener pastures, namely in the U.K.
