AOC called out the MAGA Rep.'s attacks on contraception after Boebert's wild claim during a House Oversight hearing about drug prices.

New York Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called out Colorado Republican Representative Lauren Boebert after the latter claimed having a child is cheaper than birth control.

Boebert made the wild claim dring a House Oversight hearing about drug prices and shared her own experience regarding access to contraception.

She said:

"I left a prescription at a pharmacy once. I went to get birth control, and I was there at the counter and went to pay for it, and the price was very, very high. I said, 'Wow, is this a three six-month prescription? 'No, ma'am, this is one month.'"
"And I said, it's cheaper to have a kid. And I left it there, and now I have my third son."

You can hear Boebert's remarks in the video below.

Shortly afterward, Ocasio-Cortez took Boebert to task for her remarks, pointing to Boebert's vote against the Right to Contraception Act in July 2022.

Ocasio-Cortez wrote:

“And then she voted against the right to contraception so she could double this problem and give it to the next person."

You can see Ocasio-Cortez's tweet below.

Ocasio-Cortez's remarks are also pointed in that Boebert—who had her first child while still in high school—is set to become a grandmother at age 36 after announcing that her 17-year-old son Tyler and his 14-year-old girlfriend are expecting a child in the spring.

Many have joined Ocasio-Cortez in calling out Boebert's remarks.

In recent weeks, Boebert has been criticized for her hypocritical stance on what the Bible states about premarital sex in regard to her teenage son's girlfriend's pregnancy.

Last month, Boebert recently spoke about her son Tyler’s impending fatherhood during an interview on The Rubin Report, a conservative political talk show. Boebert was asked by host Dave Rubin if Tyler’s girlfriend’s pregnancy "challenged" any of her beliefs as a Christian.

Boebert replied that while there are standards to uphold, she doesn’t plan to "nitpick what the Bible says" about the situation. She stated that having a "heart posture of wanting to serve God" is more important, and she plans to teach her son about "redemption and moving forward."

Walz particularly lamented the impacts of Trump's ongoing trade war with Canada and Mexico, noting that Trump has a history of scuttling deals and "a proven track record of being an absolute failure."

Ellen DeGeneres Just Tried To Mow The Lawn At Her Sprawling UK Estate—And It Went South Fast

Say what you may about Ellen DeGeneres, but we can all agree that she's always tried to find the funny side in a situation, even if it's something that should be as mundane as mowing the lawn.

DeGeneres left the talk show scene in 2022 after allegations ran rampant about her running a toxic workplace, so when President Donald Trump was elected for a second term, it seemed the perfect time for the entertainer and her wife, Portia de Rossi, to look for greener pastures, namely in the U.K.
