Trump Supporter Called Out For Wearing 'Never Surrender' Shirt—And The Irony Is Hilariously Rich

The Good Liars were on hand to interview MAGA fans at a Trump rally in Iowa—and couldn't help but point out the irony of one supporter's shirt of Trump's mugshot.

Jason Selvig and Davram Stiefler, collectively known as The Good Liars, were on the ground in Iowa as they witnessed former President Donald Trump rallying his supporters ahead of his civil fraud trial in New York—and they couldn't help but point out the irony of one MAGA fan's shirt of Trump's mugshot.

Engaging with a fervent supporter donning a "Make America Great Again" red cap, Stiefler decided to inquire about the Trump-themed t-shirt he was sporting, which featured Trump's infamous mugshot from earlier this year accompanied by the text: "Wanted for President 2024. Never surrender."

Stiefler pointed out that the mugshot was taken last month, shortly after Trump surrendered to authorities in Georgia on charges that he sought to overturn the 2020 election results:

“’Never surrender … That is a picture of him surrendering to Georgia authorities, though, right?"

The man smiled and called Trump "the best President in America," Stiefler pressed him again:

“OK, but that literally is a picture of him surrendering, right?”

The man looked down at his shirt and appeared defeated before responding:

"Yes. Okay. Yep."

You can watch what happened in the video below.

Despite initially standing his ground, it was clear the supporter eventually seemed to grasp the irony present in his attire. The video ended with him looking somewhat defeated, perhaps recognizing the contradiction within his chosen shirt.

The video swiftly gained traction among X users who couldn't help but laugh at the situation.

Last month, Trump's campaign announced that the former President managed to raise a staggering $7 million in just a matter of days since he had his Georgia mugshot photo emblazoned on t-shirts, mugs, and other items.

In the face of an extensive array of federal and state charges, Trump finds himself grappling with a towering mountain of legal bills. To fund his legal defense, Trump has consistently turned to financial contributions from his supporters. Over the course of the past two years, he has tapped into the financial resources of a political action committee under his control, the Save America PAC.

Originally established in 2020 as a rallying point for his baseless allegations of election fraud, this leadership PAC has remained predominantly fueled by donations from grassroots supporters. Even before his entrance into the 2024 presidential race, the Save America PAC was channeling funds to cover Trump's legal fees.
