Rainn Wilson took to Instagram to reveal the moment the guy watching 'The Office' next to him on the plane finally recognized him.

Last week, The Office star Rainn Wilson shared a video on Instagram that quickly went viral of an oblivious fan sitting in the seat beside him on a plane.

Wilson's video showed the neighboring passenger indulging in the on-board entertainment of none other than The Office, with Wilson in the playing scene, to boot.

He added text to his video that read:

"When the person sitting next to you has no idea who you are."

In the passenger's defense, Wilson was wearing a mask, cap and earphones and was not sporting his signature specs, and the passenger was delightfully keeping to himself eating his meal whilst contributing to Wilson's royalty checks.

Obviously, though, viewers of the video were curious as to whether or not the fan ever discovered the identity of his seatmate.

Fortunately for all of the internet, Wilson took to Instagram to deliver the rest of the story.

He captioned the video:

"Happy Ending to the plane story! All became right with the world at last…"

Wilson explained:

"Everyone keeps asking me, 'Did the guy ever recognize you?'"
"Yes. So after five hours of watching 'The Office,' I finally nudged him."
"I was like, 'Ah, it seems like you like that show.' And I was slowly taking my mask off, and he's like, 'Yeah, I really like it a lot.'"
"I was like, 'Oh, I heard it was. not so good.' He's like, 'Well, it starts really slow, the first season is kind of questionable.'"

Wilson continued to play into the moment.

"I was slowly taking my mask off, and I was like, 'Oh, not so good, huh? The first season?'"
"He's like, 'Yeah, but once you get into it and get to know the characters...'"
"And I was like, 'Yeah, but that first season kinda sucks? It's really bad? That's too bad. That's bad that the first season sucks.'"

Wilson finished:

"And then he recognized me, and his head exploded, and we had a nice laugh."
"So, happy ending."

You can watch both videos below.

While most viewers of the video did not share the fan's opinion of the first season...

Design For New Commemorative Coin Featuring Trump Just Dropped—And People Can't Believe It's Real

On March 19, the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts (CFA), comprising people appointed by MAGA Republican President Donald Trump, unanimously approved a final design concept proposed for a 24-karat gold United States semiquincentennial commemorative coin.

Instead of featuring the Declaration of Independence or some other images central to the foundation of the nation in 1776 or more universally recognized symbols from the last 250 years, the CFA chose a sketch based on a photo of Trump leaning over the Resolute desk in the Oval Office for the coin's obverse or "heads" side.

Gavin Newsom Said What We're All Thinking About Trump's Decision To Deploy ICE To Airports

After President Donald Trump moved to deploy ICE agents to U.S. airports amid a partial government shutdown that has caused exceptionally long delays at TSA lines nationwide, California Governor Gavin Newsom pointed out exactly why the move is so troubling for citizens and non-citizens alike.

ICE agents are still getting paid during the shutdown, unlike TSA agents, who are currently working unpaid and struggling amid the affordability crisis. News outlets have confirmed ICE agents have been deployed in airports that serve Democratic strongholds, particularly John F. Kennedy and LaGuardia Airports (New York), O'Hare International Airport (Chicago), and others.
