The actor revealed she'd turned down the Black Friday ad before realizing her fellow 'Mean Girls' costars Lindsay Lohan, Lacey Chabert and Amanda Seyfried had said yes.

Earlier this fall, North Shore High School plastics Lindsay Lohan, Lacey Chabert and Amanda Seyfried reunited for a Walmart Black Friday ad.

The commercial also featured Mean Girls originals Rajiv Surendra (who played Kevin Gnapoor) and Daniel Franzese (Damian) and included an appearance by Missy Elliott doing her best Coach Carr.

You can watch below.

Notably missing, however, was "Queen Bee" Regina George, played by Rachel McAdams.

In an interview with Variety published on Wednesday, McAdams revealed her reasons for skipping out on the reunion commercial.

She explained that doing commercials isn't really her "bag."

“I don’t know; I guess I wasn’t that excited about doing a commercial if I’m being totally honest.”
“A movie sounded awesome, but I’ve never done commercials, and it just didn’t feel like my bag."

McAdams also shared that she only found out after she turned down the offer that her former costars would be in the ad.

"Also… I didn’t know that everyone was doing it. I would, of course, always love to be a part of a Mean Girls reunion and hang with my plastics, but yeah, I found that out later.”

People on social media collectively agreed her decision was "so Regina George."

Of course, she was still missed, nonetheless.

As for the chatter surrounding McAdams making an appearance in the upcoming Mean Girls movie adapted from the Broadway musical, well, that - like fetch - isn't going to happen, either.

She told the magazine:

“Tina [Fey] and I sort of dabbled with a few ideas, but it was tough to make it all work in the end."
“I was really down for whatever she wanted to do."
"I think the direction it went in will be fantastic and I cannot wait to see it.”

The new Mean Girls is set to be released in January with Reneé Rapp playing Regina George.

Trump Bizarrely Clashes With Reporter Over Photoshopped 'Tattoo' On Abrego Garcia's Knuckles

President Donald Trump sparked criticism after claiming during an interview with ABC News’ Terry Moran that an edited photo depicting tattoos of wrongly-deported Maryland father Kilmar Abrego Garcia showed that he has an alleged connection to the MS-13 gang.

Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran national who arrived in the U.S. in 2012, was labeled a threat in 2019 due to an alleged connection to MS-13. He spent months in detention before an immigration judge found he had a credible fear of persecution—not from MS-13, but from a rival group, Barrio 18, which he said had been extorting his family.

Leavitt Lashes Out At Amazon Over 'Hostile' Plan To Display Added Tariff Costs For Products On Website

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt lashed out at Amazon over news that the commerce giant planned to display increased "import charges" on items on their Amazon Haul website, essentially showing to customers the extra money they'd have to shell out as a result of President Donald Trump's tariffs.

Trump has escalated a growing trade war by imposing tariffs of up to 145% on Chinese imports, prompting China to retaliate with its own 125% tariffs on American goods. Additionally, the U.S. has slapped a 10% tax on imports from most other countries, while temporarily suspending higher rates for several nations for 90 days.
