Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney took the online cheating rumors and ran with it in a whale of a tweet.

The couple that trolls together... ❤️

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia costars and real-life spouses Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney made a splash on social media by running with a tabloid cheating rumor and making it somehow even more absurd.

In response to a linked article that claimed the couple broke up because McElhenney cheated on her whilst in Wales—home of the Wrexham soccer team he co-owns with Ryan Reynolds—Olson Tweeted:

“It was me who had the affair."

But she didn't stop at the faux confession.

“But it was not with someone from Wales. It was with a whale."
"I’ve always loved whales. They’re the bosses of the ocean and I’m attracted to power."
"We ask for privacy as we navigate this difficult time.”

Olson and McElhenney married in 2008 and have two sons, Alex Lee age 12 and Leo Grey age 11.

And like any good husband would, McElhenney backed up the admission... sort of.

He wrote:

“Sad to admit that the rumor is true."
“However some of the details are…. incorrect.”

Others on social media were quick to contribute to the mockery.

It's true what they say...

One couple's trolling is the internet's treasure (or something like that).

Whale played.
