Spears fans are seeing the 'Everytime' music video in a whole new way after her memoir revealed she got pregnant while dating Timberlake before getting an abortion.

Britney Spears' memoir The Woman in Me will be released on October 24, but some excerpts have already been making their way around the internet.

PEOPLE has confirmed that Spears reveals in the memoir that she had an abortion when she was dating Justin Timberlake before their eventual breakup in 2002.

And now people are analyzing her music through a completely different lens, especially the lyrics and video to her 2003 song "Everytime."

Originally, fans interpreted the song as a rough breakup ballad, but now they're seeing it differently.

In the music video, Spears is standing in a hospital in front of a woman giving birth, singing:

"And every time I see you in my dreams,"
"I see your face,"
"You're haunting me."
"I guess I need you, baby."

Now that fans have learned of the abortion Spears' had, they believe the song is about the struggle of not keeping the child.

In the memoir, Spears wrote of the pregnancy:

“It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy."
"I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated."
“But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young."

The singer revealed it was one of the most painful things she ever experienced.

"If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father."
“To this day, it’s one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life."

We hope Spears can continue on her path to healing.
