GOP Rep. Demands To Know 'One Thing' Republican Majority Has Done—And Team Biden Pounced

Representative Chip Roy
C-SPAN

GOP Rep. Chip Roy stood up on the floor of the House demanding that anyone in the Republican Party tell him "one thing" that their House majority has done, and Biden campaign wasted no time posting it.

Republican Texas Representative Chip Roy went off on fellow party members for being useless and suggesting the GOP has done nothing to contribute to Washington.

Roy, who was Chief of Staff to GOP Senator Ted Cruz prior to his election to represent Texas' 21st congressional district, took to the House floor and berated his colleagues and demanded to be told "one thing" their House majority has done.

The clip was shared by Democratic President Joe Biden's campaign page on X (formerly Twitter) as is, letting Roy's words do the talking.

It hasn't been smooth sailing for Republicans since they took control of the House earlier this year.

Their House majority has undergone two drawn-out contests for a Speaker and even went weeks without a leader.

The impassioned Congressman wildly gesticulated while demanding:

"One thing: I want my Republican colleagues to tell me one thing. One. That I could go campaign on and say we did. One!"
"Anybody sitting in the complex, you wanna come down to the floor and explain to me one material, meaningful, significant thing the Republican majority has done besides, ‘Well, I guess it’s not as bad as the Democrats.'"

Social media users brought out the popcorn.

The internet gladly responded to Roy's plea.

Earlier in his fiery speech on Wednesday, Roy said:

“You know, we have had a tumultuous year of sorts, but in the eyes of the American people, they’ve been watching from afar wondering when this body, the People’s House, will stand up in defense of the people who send us here."

He continued addressing his fellow party members and asked them:

“When are we going to do what we said we would do?”
“For the life of me, I do not understand how you can go to the trouble of campaigning, raising money, going to events, talking to people, coming to this town as a member of a party who allegedly stands for something…and then do nothing about it."

Melania Just Held A Bizarre Press Conference To Debunk 'False Smears' Related To Jeffrey Epstein—And Everyone Had The Same Response

First Lady Melania Trump had everyone thinking the same thing after she held a bizarre press conference on Thursday to deny that she had anything but casual ties to Jeffrey Epstein, the late disgraced financier, pedophile, sexual abuser, and sex trafficker.

Mrs. Trump publicly denied any ties to convicted sex offenders Epstein and his procurer Ghislaine Maxwell, saying claims linking her to Epstein are “lies” meant to damage her reputation. She said she met her husband, President Donald Trump at a New York City party in 1998 and did not meet Epstein until 2000, contradicting a witness statement in the Epstein files that alleges Epstein introduced the couple.

Dem Rep. Sarah McBride Perfectly Shames Nancy Mace For Her Transphobic Response To McBride's Condemnation Of Trump

Delaware Democratic Representative Sarah McBride pushed back at South Carolina Republican Representative Nancy Mace after Mace responded with transphobia to McBride's criticism of President Donald Trump's genocidal threat to kill the "whole civilization" of Iran.

Trump has insisted that God supports his war on Iran and declared—before a provisional ceasefire was announced—that "a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again" ahead of a deadline to bomb Iran’s power plants and bridges that legal scholars and world leaders have said would constitute war crimes.

Comedian Explains How Millennials' Midlife Crises Are Different From Past Generations—And He's Spot On

Don't make promises you cannot keep, unless your goal is to hurt someone.

Millennials know that practically better than anyone. They were fed a long and impassioned series of advice, hyper-focused on the importance of getting a college degree in order to find a good job. They were also force-fed traditionalist ideals of getting married, having kids, and buying a nice house with the money they'd be making from that great job, of course.
