A Groan-Worthy Old 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?' Question Has Taken On A Whole New Meaning In 2020
Every year we go "oh that's so XXXX" and at least half of us make some kind of resolution about how the new year will be better. But coming into 2020 felt more eye-roll-emoji and less fireworks and champagne than coming into any year before, didn't it?
2020 started out wild and has just been getting more bonkers since - pandemics, political upheaval, much of the world on fire, murder hornets, double hurricanes ... you get the idea, you're living here too.
So when screenshots of an old Who Want To Be a Millionaire? question popped back up on Twitter, people took one look at it and went "Yup. Peak 2020."
The screenshot features a question about the song "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" - a 2006 hit from the band Panic! at the Disco. The contestant was supposed to guess which band the song was by.
The WWTBAM writers created three alternate band names with similar formats to Panic! at the Disco ... and that, dear readers, is how we named the four horsemen of 2020.
Because mood.
What was once a funny meme is just now four moods leaving the house during covid. https://t.co/2K35MAn7Pd— TorAthena (@TorAthena) 1598004442.0
Go ahead, select your 2020 vibe. Personally, "Concern! at the Party" and "Fear! at the Nightclub" are off the table as parties and nightclubs haven't been a part of my year at all.
Panic! at the Disco would require me even knowing where the disco is - and I assure you I'm not cool enough for that sort of thing. Worry! at the Restaurant, though? Yup. We feel you.
Even though there's no dining-in at restaurants for us, there is absolutely a sense of worry every time we need to step into one to pick up an order.
Will people be masked up? Will the person coming in after me remember what six feet actually looks like? Am I about to get stuck in the middle of a "Karen! at the Manager" moment?
The tweet was a serious vibe check.

But don't worry (in or out of any dining establishments).
Twitter had a suggestion to help us avoid all of this stress.
