They may be confused, or horrified, or both--but you know that whichever reaction it may be, it will be a reaction you really don't want to deal with.
For example, take Twitter user JSC's mom, who cleaned his room and found his poppers.
For those of you who don't know, poppers, or amyl nitrate, are a mild party inhalant popular among the LGBTQ+ community.
JSC's mum said she did not know that, and since the bottle had no label on it, she assumed they were "smelling salts."
So she went to sniff them, and...ooooh boy.
Just one of the pitfalls of being a queer person in a straight world.
"F***ing hell" were, according to her, her only words as she took that fateful sniff.
Since amyl nitrate is well known for causing headaches, we can only imagine how she felt after the fact.
We suppose it could have been worse. She could have thought it was a bottle of semen, like this guy's mom did.
Gays, do a better job of hiding your poppers.
And moms, maybe stick to the mom stereotype: wine.
