A Minnesota football stadium was pranked into putting up a photo of a male adult entertainer on the Jumbotron as part of a segment honoring soldiers and veterans who served in the military.
Last week, the Minnesota Vikings posted a tweet encouraging fans to participate in the "Salute to Soldiers" segment by sharing photos of their US military heroes ahead of Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
“We’re honoring our nation’s service members, veterans, and their families during Sunday’s game against Dallas,” the home team tweeted.
“Share photos and stories of your loved ones who have served or are currently serving using #SkolSalute for a chance to have them featured on the video board Sunday.”
Skol is a Viking term for “cheers” or good health" and is used when raising a toast to honor a worthy individual.
When an image of a man wearing a helmet and army fatigues appeared on the Jumbotron, some spectators had no idea they were saluting porn star Johnny Sins.
A mischievous Twitter user, @kylerulz4h, tweeted a photo of Sins with the following caption.
“This is my cousin Joel who served in the Army. He has always been an inspiration and someone I look up to for his heroism."
"He is also a HUGE Vikes fan #skolsalute.”
