93-Year-Old Director Mel Brooks And His Son Join Celebrities Encouraging 'Social Distancing' With Humorous PSA

Revered director Mel Brooks is the latest celebrity to urge people to enact social distancing in an attempt to halt the spread of COVID-19.
Brooks, 93, appeared in a humorous video with his son, writer Max Brooks, who explained the importance of staying away from his elderly father.

<p>The Hollywood stars are raising funds for both Save The Children and Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry, to help students who may miss out on food and supplies while schools are closed due to coronavirus.<br></p><p>In a statement, Adams and Garner – who starred together in 2002 crime drama <em>Catch Me If You Can</em> – said they hoped to "provide a little fun, a little education, and a little distraction for kids and parents."</p><p>Singer Ariana Grande urged people not to ignore the gravity of the situation and criticized some for sounding "stupid and privileged."</p><p><strong>The 26-year-old said on Instagram Stories: </strong></p><blockquote><em>"I keep hearing from a surprising amount of people, statements like, 'This isn't a big deal', 'We'll be fine', 'We still have to go about our lives,' and it's really blowing my mind."</em></blockquote><blockquote><em>"I understand if that is how u felt weeks ago.
