After England scored a crucial goal to tie things up with Switzerland late in their Euro 2024 quarterfinal match, Prince William was caught on camera showing his enthusiastic relief.

The Prince of Wales blended in seamlessly with fellow fans, celebrating with enthusiasm as England scored a game-tying goal, leading to their eventual victory on penalty kicks over Switzerland in the Euro 2024 quarterfinals.

He was photographed standing and pumping his fist, roaring in celebration after Bukayo Saka scored a clutch goal to tie the game 1-1 in the 80th minute at Germany's Düsseldorf Arena on July 6.

Amidst his exuberant celebration, British Football Association Chair Debbie Hewitt was seen next to him, looking completely shocked.

A TikTok video captured the moment, showing William initially sitting in consternation before rising to his feet and clapping with what one news outlet described as "passion and vigor."

England made it to the finals of the last Euro tournament but lost to Italy on penalty kicks in 2021. The competition includes all men’s national teams affiliated with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and takes place every four years. The 2020 tournament was postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The match attended by the Prince of Wales marked the third consecutive Euro 2024 quarter-final to extend into extra time, with two of them ultimately decided by penalties. In the upcoming semi-final in Dortmund on Wednesday, England will confront the victor of the fourth quarter-final, featuring Turkey and the Netherlands.

England entered the match following two lackluster performances. Despite displaying greater creativity and movement, they struggled to convert chances into goals. The Swiss team also adopted a cautious approach, resulting in few meaningful goal-scoring opportunities in the first hour of play.

We're all human here, so we all make mistakes. Most mistakes can be resolved with a genuine apology, hot glue to fix a broken vase, and a good cleaning solution for a big spill.

Other mistakes, like bullying someone or breaking someone's heart, are much more guilt-inducing and harder for everyone to get over.
